5 Practical Tips To Get Traffic From Google Plus

Social Media sites especially facebook is one of my favorite sites that increase the traffic count to my blog. I really enjoy investing my time to share blog posts in facebook groups, facebook page and on my wall too because it help me to connect with my targeted audience.

Today, I was reading some authority blogs and came to know about some amazing ways that can help bloggers to gain extra traffic to their blog posts using Google Plus. I’m going to share those ways via this post. Hope you guys would like to know about them

Getting Traffic Using Google Plus

Readers love to read, comment and share attention grabbing posts. This is the real Mantra to drive massive traffic to the blog. We will apply the same mantra while sharing our blog posts on Google plus to attract maximum readers. Let’s see what is new today

1. Stylize Your Posts

During writing the posts, we use to highlight some text to grab readers’ attention. This thing not only make our blog posts attractive but also increase the readability. Then why not to apply the same strategy while sharing posts on Google plus.
We can apply some styles to our texts in below ways:
  1. Bold: Use asterisks sign (*) around the text to bold it. Bold your targeted keyword there. It’ll help you to grab viewer’s attention easily.
  2. Italics: Use underscores (_) around the words and italicize them easily to add more style.
  3. Strikeout: Suppose you are offering a product or discount coupon code, you can easily run a line through old offer (like: 20% 30% discount) by putting hypens (-) around that word or sentence to highlight new offers.
  4. Bullets: Bullets add more value to our content. We can also make use of bullets in our Google plus posts. Hit your space bar, enter a hypen, and then hit your space bar again. It’ll work as bullets and you can use it to add lists to your post.

2. Share Images – Not Just the Links

Sharing blog post URLs is the most common way to promote blog posts or to market the content. We have to do something unique and creative to attract more readers. While sharing your new posts on Google Plus, don’t just share some text and link. Use below pattern to increase viewer’s engagement.
  1. Put a Heading first and apply some formatting to it. Better to go with Bold.
  2. Add some text of two lines that better explain the post and generate curiosity to the audience to read what you have written.
  3. Give one line break and then place your blog post link.
  4. Now attach a high quality and attention grabbing image with your post. It’ll surely help you to target wider audience.

3. Choose Targeted Audience To Share

We simply can’t get the goals by targeting the wrong audience. You must be knowing who and where your targeted audience is. Google plus allows us to create different circles. So, the strategy is, create one circle and add your targeted audience in that particular circle.
Suppose you are writing about ON-Page SEO Techniques, then don’t share it with your family. By doing so, you can’t hit the goals. Better to share it with your targeted audience. Mostly people share their posts with Public and Your Circles.

I’m surprised why they don’t create more circles to target their blog audience. Build relationships with others having interest in your niche. Add all of them into a specific circle and share your posts with them. I have created a circle named Blogger Tips Tricks and I always choose that circle to target my right audience. :)

4. Tick “Send Email” For More Attention

Why not to use “Send Email” feature to get more attention of the readers. When you are ready to hit share button, put a tick on “Send Email” check box. It will send an email to the people regarding the update and if your post will be of their interest then surely you’ll get good number of clicks.

5. Target Google Plus Communities

If you are a member of communities on G+, then you can post into those communities directly from your profile, from within the communities itself and by using Share button at the bottom of your posts as well.
Click on the share button below your posts and then select the communities in which you want to promote your blog posts.
In this way, you can save a lot of your precious time that you can use to market your content on other places as well.
Tip
Use Hashtags in your G+ Posts. It will not only help you in targeting the wider audience but your Google Plus followers will also increase with time.

How to use Google Webmaster Tools to improve ranking

Google Webmaster Tools is a great tool for webmasters. The unfortunate thing is that most webmasters and bloggers don’t know it. It’s a powerful platform through which you can see into your SEO strategies and improve big time.

In this post, I want to show you a smart way to gather vital information from your Google Webmaster Tools Search Traffic section and push your site up to page 1.

Log on to your GWT account and select the site you want to boost its ranking. What we want to do is get the keyword that brings the most impressions, get the article to which it pulls traffic and optimize it for better ranking.

While in your GWT account, click “Search Traffic” and then “Search Queries“

On the screen that follows as shown on the image above, Click “impressions” to order the entries. The keyword that triggers the highest number of impressions will be pulled up.

To see which page this keyword pulls traffic to, click the keyword. This will also pull out some SEO statistics including the position in search result.

How is this information important ?

You can actually use this information to get the most accurate position of your pages on SERPs linked to specific keywords. This will help in your SEO efforts to rank well for a certain keyword. Depending on the keyword strength and search engine result page, you can measure the amount of work needed to improve the rankings.

If you are on page 2 or 3 and if the keyword competition is not so hard, you can do a couple of things to push it to page 1. If you are on page 1 already, you can do a couple of things to push to pisition.

How to improve ranking of specific page

Now we know the url and the keyword that pulls traffic to it. So it becomes fairly easy to do some tweaking and pull more attention to it. Here are some few ways to boost it up:

1 – Get more social shares on that specific url: Submit it to sites like JustRetweetand EasyRetweet for more retweets, Facebook likes, Google+. These social signals will have a more positive effect on it

2 – Edit the article with more information: This is probably one of the things to do to attract more ranking. Just by adding more insightful content on the article, tweaking the title and description can improve click through.

3 – Do some more backlinking to that page: The more links you get to that page, the better the ranking. You can do more blog commenting linking back to that page. Do more gust posting and grabbing links to that same page. There are more ways you can build more links to that page but I recommend not using the exact keyword as anchor text as this can be deadly.

4 – Add a video on the articles: This is closer to point 2 above but I wanted it separate as it carries more weights. Videos will help it rank better on SERP. Host the video on Youtube, link back to the article.

Time now to go to your GWT and follow these steps to improve ranking and get more traffic from search engines.

Make Money with Google AdSense

An Introduction to Google AdSense

Google AdSense is the most popular online advertisement service that provided by Google. Google has two programs called AdSense and AdWords.

Google earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search results pages. This program is called Google AdWord. These results are called Sponsored Results; advertisers are paying a certain amount of dollars per click for these ads.

Now you can earn money by displaying these same text or image ads on your website. When someone clicks the ads on your website, you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords. When someone clicks, you earn roughly 65% of the click and Google gets the rest. This program is called Google AdSense. Your income is generated both from clicks on ads and from impressions (number of times the advertisement is shown on your website).

The service is freely accessible for everyone who complies with the corresponding Terms of Use. You can check them by clicking the link given below.

https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/48182

Creating your website for Google AdSense

Before you begin your website, make sure you have come up with a topic that you feel you know plenty about. It will help you to write a lot of content.

The more content and more traffic you have, the better chance you have getting accepted into the program. Get a domain name and sign up for a web host, start build your web site. Build your website according to Google AdSense Terms and Conditions.

Join with Google AdSense

Once you have 20-30 pages on your website, go to http://adsense.google.com to apply.

When you are accepted, copy and paste the provided HTML code into your website’s page that you’d like to show the ads. These ads come with different sizes and different formats (text ads, Banner ads, etc.), you can choose the suitable size and put it relevant page.

How much can I earn with AdSense?

We can’t say a certain amount, because the commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the Particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount advertisers paying. Sometimes it will be from 2 cents to $15 per click.

I cannot estimate how much you will earn based on your website’s traffic. People always want to know the average amount of a click. No one knows the answer except Google.

However, I logically believe there are some niches that obviously pay more. Some keyword phrases like make money, investing, etc. have higher competition. The more competitive the search term, the more the advertisers pay and the more you earn as publisher.

Ad Placement

The position of the AdSense advertisements is very important to increase the clicks. Google have created a heatmap to help you decide the best placement for your advertisements.

https://support.google.com/adsense/?page=tips.html#topic=3373519

Ad Formats

You should choose the advertisements block format which best suits your website visual style. The experience shows that the 336×280 (Large rectangular), the 300×250 (Medium rectangular), and the 160×600 (Wide Skyscraper) are the most effective shapes.

Colors of Ads

You should pick the most suitable color palette for your ads block. If your website has light color background, it is better to use similar light palette for the AdSense box. Still, it is better to pick a color which already exists in your website.

Ad Units

You are allowed to display up to 3 ad units on a page and a single link unit. It is better to create an ads unit which includes both text and images. In this way both will be displayed and this will increase the chance to get a click on an advertisement by a website visitor.

But, there are few factors which you must consider before choosing topic for your blog:

How to Select Topic for Next Blog Post?

You must be confident that what you are writing is good and you are totally satisfied with your article. If you are confident and have knowledge about any specific topic then you can surely give your best to that article. Ask yourself for which kind of topics you get best response from readers? I am sure the answer would be the topics in which you are interested and confident.
Research

This is next part for choosing topic. Doing research before writing any article is very important. Your readers are smart enough, they know that you are providing right information or not. Thus, choose only those topics which interests you and you can do research on that topic.

Knowledge

If you want to write articles for readers then you need to choose topics on which you have good knowledge. Just choosing topics from other blogs and rewriting won’t work. You need to reply to your readers queries and thus it is important that instead of rewriting any article, try to get knowledge about that topic.

Advice and tips

Try to choose topics which can provide your readers tips and advice relevant to your niche. Choose to write topics which can provide lots of information and keep it simple. It would be better if you divide your topic in 2 or 3 different articles and interlink all those articles. This will give you 2-3 different topics to write and your readers will get all tips and advice about that particular topic.
